What does 7Ps Stand for

The 7Ps of project management is a framework that helps project managers and teams organize and execute projects effectively. These 7Ps stand for:

  1. Project Definition: This involves clearly defining the project's objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria. It includes identifying stakeholders, understanding their requirements, and establishing a project charter.

  2. Project Planning: In this phase, project managers develop a detailed plan that outlines the tasks, activities, milestones, timelines, and resources required to complete the project successfully. It also involves assessing risks, creating a project schedule, and allocating resources effectively.

  3. Project Processes: Project processes refer to the methodologies, techniques, and tools used to execute the project. This includes project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum, as well as the specific processes and procedures relevant to the project.

  4. Project People: The success of a project depends on the people involved. This P focuses on identifying the right team members, allocating roles and responsibilities, and establishing effective communication channels. It also involves developing a supportive project culture and addressing any team-related challenges.

  5. Project Power: Project power refers to the authority, influence, and decision-making capabilities needed to drive the project forward. It involves empowering project managers and team members to make decisions, ensuring clear lines of authority, and establishing a governance structure that supports effective project execution.

  6. Project Politics: Project politics deals with managing the dynamics and relationships among stakeholders involved in the project. It involves identifying and addressing conflicts, managing expectations, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  7. Project Performance: This P focuses on measuring, monitoring, and controlling project performance. It includes establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking progress, identifying and addressing deviations, and ensuring that the project stays on track to achieve its objectives. It also involves conducting regular project reviews and applying lessons learned to improve future projects.

These 7Ps provide a holistic framework for managing projects, encompassing various aspects from planning to execution, team dynamics, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring.

“Running a yacht management company requires a combination of business acumen, industry knowledge and exceptional service delivery. • Just a quick note to thank Katja and her fantastic team at 7PS for their invaluable help as Project Manager for our winter maintenance and refit program. We have been using Katja for several years now, and we are very satisfied with the results... timely, reliable, professional and highly knowledgeable.

    Capt. JD - MY Musha

  • I cooperated with Katja on a 62M, which I am managing, she was the project manager for the shipyard period we had in Palma de Mallorca. Katja managed all works and contractors, and unlike many others project managers, she was always been super fast in the actions and solved any kind of problem. Katja is very professional and a serious person who loves her job. Thanks again Katja for all you did. Best regards

    GFG Franceschi Inc.

    Project Manager/Owner Surveyor

  • “Beol was very fortunate to have Darren’s assistance towards the end of a particularly challenging shipyard period. Had it not been for his honest, knowledgeable and straight forward approach the Owner may not have enjoyed his boat that summer. Darren has done the job onboard; this gives him the experience and knowledge to deliver the necessary results.

We would happily work with Darren again and can highly recommend him as someone that gets the job done."

    MY Beol, Captain Sim Lighten

  • We arrived to Palma for the first time with a large list of maintenance related issues to be solved in a short period of time all for the preparation to cross the Atlantic.

Because of the short turnaround I needed to maximise our chances of success so I contacted 7PS to help us organise the following works. I have a lot of experience with management companies over the years but have never come across one so effective and time effect. Katja organised all the work in an incredible time frame where we actually had time left at the end of our period! Very freindly and understanding, with upfront competitive prices. Clear communication from Katja was very appreciated.

Would definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you 7ps.

  • 7Ps Yacht Management Company is the best in the business. They are run by former professional yacht crew and therefore have an intimate understanding of how yachts work. For me as an Engineer, to have the help and support of Darren Hunt, who has over 35 years in the industry, is invaluable. I remember last summer while cruising the Greek Isles, having Darren, a phone call away, to offer technical advice or help source parts made my job much easier. I’d highly recommend their services
